Irish Set Dancing 🍀 Class

About this event

Join a great group of folks (not everyone is Irish!) and experience the energy, music, and community of traditional Irish Set Dancing . No partner needed - we'll change partners as we dance. It's similar to square dancing. It's not hard to learn, and we still sometimes mess up the patterns. The point is to get some exercise and have fun! Beginners are welcome.

$10 payable at the door by credit card only, required by Collier County for the use of the facility. A one time fee of $20 payable to the instructor for liability insurance required by Collier County is payable at the first class.

We dance to recorded music and show the steps via video. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Dress shoes, or shoes with a smooth bottom, are best - you need to slide a little. There's a lot of spinning, so pants are best. I usually wear capri-style yoga pants. There's sometimes bouncing (depending on the dance), so wear your "good" sports bra. ;-)
