SW Florida Chapter meeting

SABR's Southwest Florida Chapter will host a meeting on Saturday, November 21, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Bonita Springs Public Library in Meeting Room B at 10560 Reynolds St. in Bonita Springs, Florida. All baseball fans are welcome to attend.

Dave Clark and Doug Cornfield of Disability Dream & Do (D3Day) will talk about how the organization connects individuals with disabilities to professional athletes through inclusive, joy-filled sports experiences that build confidence, belonging and lifelong memories.

Dave Clark is a Corning, New York native, professional baseball player, coach and disability advocate. Diagnosed with polio at ten months old, he built a 17-year professional playing career and more than 55 years in professional baseball leadership. Dave is the Founder of Disability Dream & Do (D3Day) and a recipient of the Bo Jackson Courage Award, Hero of Sports Award and Giant Steps Award.

Doug Cornfield is an author, speaker and former collegiate athlete. A University of Georgia scholarship athlete, Doug now directs D3Day and co-leads inclusive sports experiences nationwide. Doug is the author of A Pound of Kindness and Pulling Each Other Along, and brings a practical, relationship-centered perspective to the Dream Loud program.
