About this event
Join Paul and Eileen Arsenault for a heartfelt exploration of Southwest Florida’s natural beauty,
where Native Americans thrived for thousands of years, ghost orchids bloom in cypress swamps, and
the endangered Florida panther still roams. Though this rich landscape has been threatened by natural
disasters and overdevelopment, conservation efforts have helped protect many of its precious habitats.
From sea turtles and burrowing owls to ancient bald cypress, dedicated volunteers and philanthropists
have given their time and resources to preserving this remarkable natural heritage.
Paired with fine art and historic photographs, vintage postcards, and lively narratives, An Artful History
of Naples and Collier County, created by Paul Arsenault, Eileen Arsenault, and Donna Murphy, celebrates
the pioneers, personalities, and dreamers who shaped the region; the iconic landmarks and glimpses of
Old Florida that anchors its identity; and the history and folklore that capture its spirit.
