- ➤ Sanibel Fire Rescue District announced a strict burn ban after Lee County commissioners approved the measure Tuesday amid extremely dry conditions that ended the island's beach campfire season early + all current campfire permits have been revoked; grills may still be used provided they are attended. - ➤ Organizers canceled the annual parade due to rising security costs after city fees and barricade expenses surged, with Naples Police noting that updated measures (increased staffing and barricades) are essential for public safety amid evolving threats.
