- ➤ Water levels in the Biscayne Aquifer remain dangerously low as Naples-area residents are encouraged to conserve water by reducing lawn watering while the dry season continues for four more months. - ➤ Florida health officials reported 50 new measles cases from Feb. 1 to Feb. 7, bringing the statewide total to 68 in 2026. Most cases occur in Collier County with an outbreak at Ave Maria University & low vaccination rates that experts warn may lead to further spread. Naples Daily News
