- ➤ A human-caused fire that ignited Feb. 22 has grown to over 35,000 acres with 38% containment as of March 2 (burning about 20 miles east of Naples) in Big Cypress National Preserve. - ➤ Audubon staff at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary collected 164,307 wildlife photos last fall for the SnapshotUSA program to study 14 mammal species and track images of deer + bobcats + boars.
