- ➤ Gas prices in Naples increased amid rising national fuel costs tied to the Iran war. As of March 8, the average for regular gas was $3.532 (above the national average), marking a noticeable jump from earlier in the week. News-Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Immokalee Technical College pinned 12 new nurses on Tuesday, March 3—transitioning them from LPN to RN—at a ceremony with support from Collier County Public Schools and Naples Comprehensive Health. FutureMakers Coalition funded the program with $7,000 per student to strengthen local healthcare. Florida Weekly

- ➤ FC Naples opened its season with a 2-0 shutout win over Fort Wayne at the Coast Sports Complex, drawing over 4,000 fans. The team scored before halftime and again in the closing minutes — and they will host Corpus Christi FC on Saturday, Mar. 14 at 7 p.m. NBC2
