- ➤ A man was arrested for two counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of aggravated stalking after a box with two severed cat heads was found on a Bonita Springs mailbox — investigators linked 37 years old Robert James Luther III to the crime using license plate readers and a DNA search warrant — and he now faces charges. - ➤ The longest running show in Southwest Florida now plays at the Norris Center in Naples when 'A Cracker at the Ritz' — a 75-minute satire that makes fun of Florida — is scheduled for March 18th, April 8th and April 15th at 7 p.m. with tickets costing $35. Naples Daily News

- ➤ In 1947, a 5,600-acre tract was deeded to the state to form Collier-Seminole State Park, where Barron Gift Collier aimed to preserve royal palms while honoring those who fought in the Seminole Wars. The park now spans over 6,430 acres and features swamps, salt marshes, mangroves, estuaries, and pine flats—along with a historic dredge that helped build the Tamiami Trail. Naples Daily News

- ➤ FGCU's men's basketball team accepted an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational under third-year coach Pat Chambers.
