- ➤ Several new restaurants opened in North Naples during the first quarter of 2025 to draw in the tourist season—Tigress, Waxin’s, Lujacks All-American Grill, and Bella Atalia Ristorante launched in January while Sonny’s Pizzeria & Sports Bar and Wingstop opened in February and March. WINK News

- ➤ A Bonita Springs man is wanted after he violated probation tied to a DUI and crash by drinking six beers and failing field sobriety tests at 2 a.m. — his breath test two hours later showed he was over twice the legal limit and he now faces three active warrants with a history of prior offenses. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Marco Island Center for the Arts is launching a spring-summer entertainment series at the Arts Center Theatre at Marco Town Center to offer local shows such as a tribute to humorist Erma Bombeck by Louise K. Cornetta and standup by Peter Fogel. The schedule runs from April 16 to Sept 20 — giving residents more options after the tourist season. The Naples Press

- ➤ Autism Collier Charter School will share space with BridgePrep Academy at 3161 Santa Barbara Blvd in Naples when it opens in August— the school, approved in October, plans to start its first year with 80 students and will offer a new educational option for parents of students with autism. - ➤ Last week, RCMA laid off dozens of staff and suspended child care for over 250 children at its Immokalee center due to delayed federal funds — the funding has now been received and all programs and staff will return on Monday. ABC7
