- ➤ Harry Chapin Food Bank launched its Share the Shelf initiative by installing a 55 gallon donation bin at the General Aviation Terminal in Naples Airport to help residents and visitors donate nonperishable foods. Visitors will be able to contribute until May 2 and may drop off donations at local distribution centers on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. while donations at the airport are accepted from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. WINK News

- ➤ Karl George Lievense, aged 81, was working in his suite at a quiet Naples business park in 2018 when he was gunned down — his murder remains unsolved. The Naples Press

- ➤ About 60% of Florida is in drought while South Florida faces extreme drought with many counties worsening since April 17. - ➤ Developers for NC Square on Immokalee Road now propose adding retail stores and restaurants to the residential unit project—this follows a question from a Golden Gate Estates resident about mixed-use options. The Naples Press
- ➤ Naples Comprehensive Health announced plans to build 250 workforce housing units at 1100 Immokalee Road to help employees cope with rising living costs, and a $3.5 million donation jump-started the project — the units are expected to open by summer 2027 with potential for more if demand grows.
