- ➤ Lee County will reopen the popular Sanibel Causeway Islands Park on May 1 if weather and construction factors allow. The project will provide initial amenities such as parking — portable restrooms and waste disposal — while additional design plans will be finalized within a year. News-Press

- ➤ Former tennis star Andre Agassi will debut in pro pickleball next week at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples — the 54-year-old will partner with top-ranked Anna Leigh Waters as their first match is scheduled for April 30 at noon on CBS Sports Network. Naples Daily News
- ➤ Local high school football stars from Cape Coral, Fort Myers — and Naples are featured in a mock NFL Draft that predicts first-round selections for 2025. - ➤ The US Open Pickleball Championships will take place from April 26 to May 3 at East Naples Community Park with over 3,400 players from 50 states and 40 countries competing on more than 60 courts — including 400 professionals vying for a record purse of about $163,400.
