  • Naples' Sails Restaurant earned a spot on OpenTable's Top 100 Brunch Restaurants for 2025—its second year on the list with a 4.8-star rating from 780 reviews just in time for Mother's Day.   • FGCU TheatreLab is showing The Wolves, a coming-of-age play by Sarah DeLappe directed by Barry Cavin that follows a high school girls soccer team striving to be the best in the region—showings will continue until April 27.  WGCU
  • The Naples Players will perform The Hallelujah Girls at Kizzie Theater from May 7 to 25—a comedy about women from Georgia who join forces to change their lives.   • FGCU professor Thomas Cimarusti revived Koreshan music by matching text from an archived soundbook with songs he and a student traced; his new hymn book now features 21 songs from the historic Koreshan sect that once lived at Koreshan State Park—an effort that preserves a unique part of our local heritage.  WGCU

  • Naples police cars are now equipped with 76 LifeVac choking rescue devices donated today by NCH Health System, Collier Community Foundation & LifeVac. The handheld device helps remove objects from a choking person when the Heimlich maneuver fails, giving first responders another lifesaving tool.  ABC7

  • Tennis legend Andre Agassi will make his pro pickleball debut at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, which runs April 26–May 3 at East Naples Community Park.
