- ➤ Bonita Springs fire crews rescued two kayakers who got lost in the dark in Estero Bay Wednesday night - the Lee County Sheriff's Office used a spotlight to guide firefighter-paramedics to the pair, who were safely returned to their launch site. ABC7

- ➤ Skyline Chili permanently closed its Naples and Fort Myers locations on April 22 after nearly 38 years serving classic Cincinnati-style chili — only four Florida sites remain open. Naples Daily News
- ➤ Generac recalled nearly 150,000 portable generators sold at hardware stores from May 2025 to Feb. because a fuel leak poses a fire hazard; owners should stop using their units and contact dealers for free repairs (no injuries reported). News-Press
