- ➤ Three Naples men were arrested on April 17 at a grocery store parking lot—where they planned to murder the sibling of a man who hired them—and were indicted on May 1 on conspiracy charges after evidence showed phone calls discussing the hit. News-Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Conservation crews at Naples Botanical Garden are restoring sand dunes at Vanderbilt Beach with a mix of plants to block storm surges and protect inland areas. The project will boost local tourism and support the community’s economy — a new effort to strengthen the beach against storms. WINK News

- ➤ NCH will open a new orthopedic center called HSS at NCH at its North Hospital in North Naples in the coming weeks to offer inpatient and outpatient services including surgery, rehabilitation, and doctors' offices.
