- ➤ Naples Airport is upgrading its airfield with a new $25.4M project that installs 1,080 elevated LED lights and reconstructs its electrical vault to guard against storm surge. Approved in October 2025, the project will take 20 months to complete — boosting resilience after previous floods. WGCU
- ➤ Bonita Springs voters will decide on Aug. 18 whether to borrow up to $35 million for their 5.8-mile segment of the Bonita Estero Rail Trail connecting the city with Estero and Naples + if approved, the city will cover $28.6 million in land costs to kick off phase 1. News-Press
