- ➤ Collier County deputies are asking for help finding 12-year-old Ekaterina Katya Bleau who was last seen Tuesday night around 7 p.m. near Vanderbilt Beach Road and Vineyards Boulevard riding a black electric scooter—she is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds and wearing black Nike leggings, a pinkish orange Ron Jon shirt and light blue Crocs; anyone with information is urged to call 239-252-9300. - ➤ Florida Rep Conservatory will stage Hairspray to deliver a message of inclusion and unity as young cast members learn about civil rights history— the production will run on May 23 at 7 p.m., May 24 at 7 p.m., and May 25 at 2 p.m. WGCU

- ➤ Erin Powell, an elementary visual art teacher at Vineyards Elementary School, received a Collier County Golden Apple award on April 26 — she was honored along with three other teachers by Champions for Learning for her commitment to art education. - ➤ Naples Zoo extends its conservation work worldwide by funding projects that protect endangered species and prevent poaching—director Tim Tetzlaff said the zoo invested over $3.5 million since 2014 to support field operations in Africa, Brazil, Madagascar and other countries. Florida Weekly
- ➤ On Monday, a returning green sea turtle named Dellora made the first nest of 2025 on Sanibel, documented by the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation. The foundation said Dellora—tagged on Keewaydin Island in 2015—has been seen 12 times over the past seven years and is one of the early green turtle nesters this season. ABC7
