On Monday, a returning green sea turtle named Dellora made the first nest of 2025 on Sanibel, documented by the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.

The foundation said Dellora—tagged on Keewaydin Island in 2015—has been seen 12 times over the past seven years and is one of the early green turtle nesters this season.
