  • Collier County Sheriff's Office and Florida Gulf Coast University Human Identity & Trauma Analysis team excavated and mapped the scene on Daniels Road in Naples Tuesday, June 10 after human bones were found.  News-Press

  • Naples Children and Education Foundation has appointed new trustees—Kimberly Moss and Robert Fisher, Tammy Coselli Kutsch and Michael Kutsch, Allison and Johnathan Lubert, Marlissa and Neil Pennington, and Amy Morrissey and Mark Wingertzahn—who will use their business and community experience to support services for vulnerable children in Collier County.  Life In Naples

  • Today, Gulf Coast Humane Society featured Remy, a calm 5-year-old Florida cur mix weighing 68 pounds, on its weekly program (Mutts & Meows). SPORTS NEWS

  • Naples resident Noah Kent will tee off at Oakmont Country Club at 8:35 a.m. on June 12 during the 125th U.S. Open. He qualified as runner-up at the U.S. Amateur Championship last summer and will be one of 11 amateurs competing—hoping to advance to the weekend after missing the Masters cut in April.  Naples Daily News
  • The Great Canoe Races of Naples will return on June 14 at Baker Park after a five-year break caused by COVID, a hurricane and traffic concerns. Organizers from Young Professionals of Naples expect at least 1,000 spectators as the 45th event benefits The Conservancy of Southwest Florida and features multiple races—a first responders heat and a Choose Your Vessel heat—as well as vendors, a beer garden and live entertainment.  Naples Daily News
