  • Naples Community Church has begun demolition at its 7th Avenue South location to clear the way for a new 30,000-square-foot facility designed to serve an expanding congregation. The modern building will be constructed to resist hurricanes — part of the church will remain open during construction with the first section expected by August.  Fox 4

CULTURE NEWS

  • On June 7, the embattled Naples Pride Fest at Cambier Park faced 91°F heat — not protester action — which challenged the celebration. Organizers said the high temperature overshadowed other potential disruptions.  The Naples Press

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents in Naples are reminded to prepare for hurricanes as season began on June 1 + local officials advise checking emergency plans + this readiness helps protect families and property during potential storms.  The Naples Press

HEALTH NEWS

  • Naples-based Healthcare Network is offering a mobile health service in rural Collier County to provide care similar to what is available in Naples, Immokalee, Marco Island and Ave Maria. The service will bring needed options to residents who have had limited access—helping to improve overall care in these areas.  The Naples Press

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • FL Star Development is building senior apartments at 14050 Tamiami Trail E. as part of the Torres Family Trust commercial planned unit development — the project is scheduled to finish in June 2026.  The Naples Press

  • After two tough losses, FC Naples faced Union Omaha on May 25 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex & played without leading scorer Karsen Henderlong who was suspended. Andres Ferrin scored a goal as the team won 3-1 & returned to winning ways.  The Naples Press
