- ➤ A group of Kentucky women were injured Saturday afternoon when lightning struck a tiki hut at the JW Marriott Beach Resort on Marco Island—resort staff quickly helped them and they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. ABC7

- ➤ On Saturday, June 21, Naples police arrested two teen boys for beating a 15-year-old girl at Coastland Center Mall when one suspect brandished a gun as they stole her shoes and attempted to take her necklace — a witness reported they later pointed guns at her vehicle while fleeing toward a nearby park. - ➤ A jury was selected and opening arguments began Monday for the murder trial of Christopher Davis in Cape Coral—accused of killing his boyfriend Barry Schmalbach whose body has not been found—with prosecutors citing witness testimony and financial records as evidence. News-Press

- ➤ The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season has seen no named storm before its official start on June 1, yet forecasts predict 13 to 19 named storms and a slightly above average season.
