- ➤ The Women’s Foundation of Collier County will mark its 30th anniversary in January by honoring five local women for their leadership, service and philanthropy. The event will be held on January 23, 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón — featuring a live auction to raise funds for the Women Lifting Women Initiative. News-Press

- ➤ Naples Police Department is searching for Elliott Allen Brown, an 88-year-old man with Alzheimer’s who has back pain and a limp—he was last seen on the 600 block of 5th Avenue North wearing plaid blue and white pajama bottoms and possibly a red shirt, and anyone with information should call NPD’s non-emergency line at 239-213-3000 immediately. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Construction has begun on the new Collier County Behavioral Health Center near David Lawrence Centers’ main campus to add 87 beds for adults and keep 33 beds for youth, as well as provide inpatient care for older adults with Medicare—funding comes from a 2018 infrastructure sales surtax that will not raise property taxes. The project aims to address the ongoing mental health and substance use crisis in our community. Naples Daily News
- ➤ Lee Health says local blood donations are needed to supply about 800 units a week for patients after surgery, illness or injury and urges donors to visit its blood centers Monday through Friday. The 7th Annual Jobbers-Miller Blood Drive will run from July 22 to 24 and will begin Tuesday, July 22 at 8 a.m. at Lee Memorial Hospital — on July 24 the mobile will be at the Fort Myers Police Department at 2210 Widman Way to keep donations in Lee County.
