- ➤ Lee County Schools approved BusPatrol’s new camera system on 900 school buses to capture license plates of cars that pass a bus with its stop arm deployed — law enforcement will review the footage before $225 fines are issued after a 30-day public safety campaign ends by the end of August. ABC7
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Collier County is facing its worst salt marsh mosquito season in nearly a decade, and frustrated residents say the buzzing mosquitoes make outdoor living difficult. The Mosquito Control District uses an integrated pest management approach — relying on data from traps and aerial larvicide treatments — as state and federal agencies regulate the process. WINK News

- ➤ Great Wolf Lodge in Naples will offer an $84 per night flash sale on select Sunday through Thursday stays from August 4 to December 18—rooms accommodate two guests with a $20 fee for each extra pair.
