- ➤ A federal judge granted the Miccosukee Tribe’s motion to join a lawsuit filed by three environmental groups—alleging that the Alligator Alcatraz project in Collier County harms the Everglades ecosystem. The lawsuit now moves forward as the groups seek to stop the project. The Naples Press
- ➤ The sea turtle nesting season in Naples has seen an increase in nests and hatchlings, with over 2,100 nests recorded on beaches ahead of the Oct. 31 deadline.
