- ➤ Seventeen restaurants in downtown Naples are offering discounted meals through Aug. 28 as part of the Flavors of Fifth program & $1 from every meal will be donated to Beverly's Angels charity to fund personalized Christmas gifts for local business employees. The program, now in its second year, is expected to boost business and raise more funds than last year's total. Fox 4
- ➤ Veterans visited Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples as part of the Healing Hearts Program with Home Base Florida and built planter boxes while bonding with rescued animals— the event was part of an Adventure Series that supports military families with hands-on projects. Naples Daily News
- ➤ Chefs Brian Roland and Charles Mereday will host a five-course benefit dinner at the Ubben Room at Artis—Naples on Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $225 per person with tax and gratuity, and proceeds will support the David Lawrence Center for Behavioral Health. Naples Daily News
