- ➤ Showers and storms returned to the Gulf Coast Monday afternoon with rain starting after 2 p.m. and temperatures reaching the lower 90s, resulting in a 60% chance of rain. Tropical moisture from Hurricane Gabrielle continued to strengthen in the Atlantic—posing no threat to land but adding to the stormy conditions. NBC2

- ➤ Naples Comprehensive Health received the National Safe Sleep Hospital Gold Certification from Cribs for Kids to honor its efforts to implement safe sleep practices for infants.
