GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Florida Department of Transportation announced that overnight lane closures will affect I-75 in Collier County for two construction projects — a new flyover ramp at SR 951 and a diverging diamond interchange at Pine Ridge Road — with closures scheduled for varying hours between Nov. 3 and Nov. 5 as motorists are advised to use detours and follow signage while law enforcement assists.  Naples Daily News
  • NetJets, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, is set to build a 12,000-square-foot terminal and pay for $8.2M in ramp repairs at Naples Airport— the airport board will discuss the plan with city officials as new ordinances give the City Council more control over airport projects.  Naples Daily News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Healthcare Network launched Wellness Warriors with support from Naples Children and Education Foundation to fight childhood obesity in Collier County. The program helps children through regular checkups with doctors, dietitians, and mental health experts—pilot tests showed that more dietitian visits help lower BMI.  Life In Naples
