- ➤ The Marco Island Shell Club is getting ready for a busy season with a Holiday Shell Art Sale on November 28 at New Life Community Church, 489 West Elkcam Circle, from 10:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. where free admission and marine biology scholarships are its focus. The club also has Friday workshops planned from January through March that lead up to the Marco Island Spring Expo and Shell Art Sale on March 13—14, 2026 featuring handmade shell art and scientific exhibits. - ➤ The Third Street South Farmers Market expanded on Nov 1 to run along Third Street South from Broad to 13th, offering more space for vendors and visitors this fall in Naples. - ➤ Chrysler announced a recall for 320,065 Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee plug-in hybrid electric vehicles on Tuesday because battery pack cells with separator damage could cause a fire — the recall affects 2020-2025 Wrangler and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee models. Owners were told to park their cars away from structures and other vehicles until repairs begin — notifications will be mailed starting Dec 2. WINK News

- ➤ CROW is rebuilding its sea turtle complex—its only licensed facility between Sarasota and the Keys—after Hurricane Ian damaged several enclosures nearly three years ago; the center cares for over 6,000 animals each year and the $3 million project, partly funded by the Harkey family and a $1.2 million grant, is set to open in February or March. - ➤ The city of Naples is moving ahead with rebuilding the Cambier Park playground after safety concerns led to its closure on Oct. 30—city staff said the structure’s supports were rotting. - ➤ Naples Comprehensive Health’s Rooney Heart Institute is the first U.S. hospital to use two AI imaging technologies—CaRi-Plaque and CaRi-Heart—to find hidden heart risks up to 10 years ahead.
