- ➤ Estero held its groundbreaking ceremony Friday afternoon for the High 5 development at Estero Village Hub & the new project will offer indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, mini-golf, bowling, arcades, and a digital wall for live games with an official opening planned for fall. Mayor Joanne Ribble said the project marks an important step for a city that is building its community from scratch. ABC7
- ➤ Family members and search teams in Collier County are looking for 68-year-old Matthew Bailey who wandered off his home early Friday, and his traumatic brain injury increases the urgency of the search. They will retrace his steps tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Colonial Avenue and Bayshore intersection—neighbors are encouraged to join the effort. WINK News

- ➤ Families on the Gulf Coast face rising costs for diabetes care while nearly half of people over 15 live with the condition without knowing it—according to a study from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Rosie Perez, who was diagnosed at 10 months old, relies on her service dog to help manage her blood sugar as the nonprofit Help a Diabetic Child in Naples offers support to struggling families. NBC2
- ➤ Southwest Florida’s Frantz EyeCare marked its 10th year of offering free cataract surgery through a partnership with Mission Cataract USA. Dr. Jonathan Frantz — who founded the practice in 1994 — and his team restored sight for a Fort Myers man who had been blind in both eyes. News-Press
