- ➤ The Florida Python Challenge is a 10-day hunt held on eight FWC lands that removes Burmese pythons to protect the Everglades, and it has removed over 1,100 snakes in its history. Taylor Stanberry from Naples won the 2025 competition by capturing 60 pythons — the largest snake measured between 9.5 and 10 feet. Naples Daily News
